US VISA Document Requirements
Before booking your US Visa interview and appointment, you have to collect all the necessary documents ready on one place.  In case you forget or lose some of the documents before the interview or do not show all of them at once, your VISA request will be denied.

The Appointment letter
The appointment letter is a document that lists the exact date and time of your Visa interview. You have to be precise and go to the interview at the correct date and time. You must take the letter from the U.S Consulate where your interview has been booked.

The Supporting Documents
There are some additional documents that you have to submit during your VISA interview:
  • The valid passport that has at least six months remaining validity.
  • Official translation of all documents that are not originally written in English.
  • Details of any criminal records, Canadian pardons or US waivers. (if applicable)
  • 2×2 (in inches) passport picture
  • DS-160 application form with all necessary information (including signature and unique barcode). TLV team member can help you with it.
  • Original Immigration documents proving your legal status in the country that you live. In case, you have been in U.S. before, you have to show your immigration documents.
  • MRV payment slip that have to be arrange before the VISA interview. TLV team member can help you with it.

In case you want to apply for student visa, temporary visa or company transfer visa, you will need to have I-20M, I-20, or DS-2019, SEVIS fee receipt and funds proof.

Proof of Income or Ties to the country you live in

In addition to all other documents, each person who applies for VISA has to provide documents such as:
  • Salary slip and tax documentations
  • An official latter from the current employer that illustrates your salary, job title the date you were hired and so on. (or a latter from a family member that proof you have a financial support)
  • Deeds to any owed properties.
  • A letter that proof for paid school tuition fees (in case you are still a student.)
  • Bank statement that covers the last six months.
  • Proof that you have enough funds to cover all you expenses during your stay in USA
  • Proof of legal status in US or Canada (permanent resident card, student visa, work permit etc.)
  • Letter or other evidence that proof the purpose of your trip to the country.

Student additional documents:
  • A letter from an employer ( proof that you will work legally)
  • Records showing grades, tuition payments, acceptance letter (take/ provided by the school); these documents might be certificate of enrollment, official transcript etc.
  • Recent US or Canadian bank statements.
Self-employee additional documents:
  • The certificate of incorporation.
  • Supporting document about the business (showing that the business is trading and making money).
  • Up to date tax returns.
  • Business financial statement and its most recent tax returns.

Proof of US Visits documents
All applicants should provide documents of previous visits to the USA such as:
  • Old visas
  • Employment authorization card
  • I-94 forms
  • I-797 forms
  • I-20 forms and transcripts ( if the applicant is/was a student)
Proof of Family Relationships
In case you apply for Visa with a family member, you have to provide additional documents such as:
  • Marriage certificate
  • Birth certificate
Proof of Police and Court records
All applicants with criminal records must provide police and court records of any arrests and court documentations.
NO relevance documents
The following documents are not necessary so do not bring them to the interview. These documents are considered as no relevant documents.
  • Airline tickets
  • Student ID cards
  • Debit/Credit cards
  • Third party letter of support
